I went to play live poker the other night here in the state of Florida. I played an STT for $240. THe rake is $40, and is you finish in the money it is customary to "tip" the dealer around 5%. Basically I am paying 25% in rake to play a live stt, but this is standard around the US,,,sigh live play!

you play wrong place:)

I looked it up on PokerScout, it used to be twice this many on each site... But this is pretty much off topic here, will look you up at skype. :)

reirre,

Triple draw, never really caught on in the US too much, but I guess from your statement it never really caught on anywhere:(

I think it was a game on the rise, of course it's difficult to beat Holdem without the tv coverage (I'm personally surprised that Omaha doesn't get much either), but not many games are played at the highest stakes and TDL was one of them (Fishosaurus Rex/oogee, Hansen played a couple of sessions earlier this year).

reirre,

DO you ever mix in different stake levels when the volume is low? I always had a hard time doing that when I played cash. It was hard to adjust to different "levels of play" in the same session.

Tried a couple of times, it was really confusing for me. But since I'm only a hobby player it didn't bother me much :)

Im sure you will balance out the roi by the end of year. I would really enjoy seeing you in Vegas, if for some reason I am able to make it out there. WHat events are you playing? Where are you staying?

Some places its up to you but mostly everybody tips the dealer after a tournament or after a good pot in cg...but some places it's highly recommended to give tip :)

Officially not going to WSOP. Gl in the events. I hope to see you at some final table, just to see what you actually look like. Win or lose, enjoy yourself, Vegas and WSOP is so much fun!

Hello Jaxtraw,

I have a simple question to you. What do you think about BRM at the 6-max tables? I'm playin at mikro tables, with 1 and 3 dollars buy-in games. Do you think that at this limit it is comfortable to play with $150? And you, only with $150, on what level would you play?

thx for the answer GL

Hello,

I believe you should feel comfortable with 50 bi at the $3 level. THe higher $level you play you would want more buyins. I think at $250 you can start to mix in $6, then at $300-350 you can play $6 exclusively. I believe it to be very important to move up with a smaller BR, and waste less time trying to build it up at lower level. But also to important to move up one level at a time, and mix in a few games to see if you are comfortable before playing all your games at higher level.

Hey Guys and Girls,

Summer is here and school is over! Does anybody plan to play more now? If you are, post a hand you have had difficulty with here and I would be happy to give my comments. I know we all want to make money for the summer, hopefully I can help.
